Privacy Policy
In short: NetamaPad does not collect your information. Your iPhone and Mac connect directly over Bluetooth, and no developer servers are involved.
1. Scope
This policy covers the iPhone app “NetamaPad” and the Mac app “NetamaPad for Mac” (together, “the apps”).
2. Information we collect
The developer collects no information.
- There are no accounts.
- There is no advertising, analytics or tracking.
- The apps never send information to the developer's servers.
3. Information stored only on your devices
To work, the apps store the following on your own devices. It never leaves them.
- iPhone: settings (bottom-button layout, your chosen AI, phrases, pointer highlight, orientation and so on) and the pairing key for your Mac (stored in the Keychain).
- Mac: the names and pairing keys of paired iPhones (stored in the Keychain), pointer highlight settings, and photos received from your iPhone (in the NetamaPad folder inside Pictures).
Deleting the iPhone app removes its settings.
4. What travels between your iPhone and Mac
Your iPhone and Mac connect directly over encrypted Bluetooth. Nothing goes over the internet. Only what's needed for control is sent:
- iPhone to Mac: pointer movement, clicks and keys, text you type, and photos you choose to send.
- Mac to iPhone: window names when you open the window list, screenshots you request, short AI notifications, and which kind of video is in front (such as Netflix).
5. Mac permissions and how they're used
- Accessibility: to move the pointer and press keys as you control from your iPhone. To switch video mode, the app reads the name of the front window on your Mac only (it sends just the kind of video to your iPhone).
- Screen Recording: used only when you take a screenshot or open the window list.
- Bluetooth: to connect to your iPhone.
6. AI notifications
Only if you set it up, the Mac app receives signals such as “finished” or “waiting for permission” from Claude Code or Codex on your Mac, and forwards a short message to your iPhone. It does not read your conversations with the AI.
7. When the apps use the internet
- Once a day, the Mac app checks GitHub (api.github.com) for a new version. No information about you is sent (as with any web request, GitHub receives your IP address).
- If an AI app isn't on your Mac, the button that brings your AI to the front (such as “Claude”) opens that AI's website in your browser instead. That website's own privacy policy applies there.
8. In-app purchase
Purchases of Pro are handled by Apple. The developer never receives your payment information.
9. Children
Because the apps collect no information, they collect none from anyone, regardless of age.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as features are added. Important changes will be announced on this page.
